The Addams Family auditions are being held Sunday, June 25 at 5:00 pm at The Tri-Cities Academy of Ballet in Richland. Registration will begin at 4:30 pm so please be there early to register. For the sake of time we will be moving through auditions quickly. There are 22 available roles in The Addams Family--10 principle and 12 ensemble characters. Please prepare 16-32 bars (less than a minute) of a musical theatre song that demonstrates your vocal abilities. This song should be similar to the style of music sung by the character you are interested in being considered for. Be sure to demonstrate your acting abilities through your preparation and the performance of your audition piece. Know who your character is singing to and/or what they are singing about. You will need to bring your sheet music with you and be prepared to sing with piano accompaniment. Remember to wear comfortable clothes that you can move in as movement will be part of the audition process.

Some of you may be asked to sing song selections from The Addams Family at the audition. Please learn and be prepared to sing from the selections listed below for the characters you may be considered for. You may be asked to sing harmony with one another as needed. You may also be asked to do some cold reading from the script.

Gomez Addams—Not Today
Morticia Addams—Secrets
Wednesday Addams—Pulled
Pugsley Addams—What If
Fester Addams—The Moon and Me
Lurch - Move Toward the Darkness
Grandma Addams—When You're an Addams
Mal Beineke—Crazier Than You
Alice Beineke—Waiting
Lucas Beineke—Crazier Than You

As noted above, The Addams Family also features an integral ensemble made up of the ancestors/ghosts of the Addams Family. The Ancestors drive the show and play a vital role in the production. If you are auditioning for one of the Ancestors and are not interested in one of the principle characters listed above, you will not be expected to be prepared to sing from the aforementioned song selections.

Due to overwhelming interest in the production, we recommend that you download and return your completed audition form to the email address listed at the bottom of the form to secure your audition spot as soon as you are able to do so.

We are pleased to present an excited and passionate creative team:
